Product Attribute Schema Templates
The structured attributes AI shopping agents actually read, for apparel, beauty, home goods and supplements — 51 attributes with types, examples, priority, and where to store each one on Shopify.
CSV · 51 attributes · 7 columns
Who it's for: Anyone about to enrich a catalog and unsure which fields are worth the effort.
What's in it
Exactly what you're getting.
- 110 universal attributes every product needs regardless of category — GTIN, brand, product type, price, availability, shipping windows, returns, origin, warranty, care.
- 2Per-category sets for apparel (10), beauty (11), home & furniture (10) and supplements (10).
- 3A value type for each attribute, so you know whether it's a number, a controlled list, or free text before you model it.
- 4Real example values — not "string" or "TBD".
- 5A Critical / High / Medium / Low priority so you can stop at Critical and still get most of the benefit.
- 6A plain-English reason an agent needs each field. If you can't justify a field from this column, don't collect it.
- 7The specific Shopify location for each one — variant field, product type, or a named metafield.
How to use it
The order that actually works.
Most of these templates fail the same way — filled in completely, applied to nothing. This is the sequence we'd follow.
- 1Filter to your category, then filter to Critical. That's your minimum viable schema.
- 2Score your top 20 products by revenue against those Critical rows. The gap you find is your actual backlog.
- 3Create the metafield definitions in Shopify using the names in the last column, or your own convention applied consistently — consistency matters more than the names.
- 4Fill the Critical attributes for your top sellers before touching anything else. Attribute coverage on 20 products that sell beats 60% coverage across 2,000 that don't.
- 5Only then work down to High and Medium.
