Magento deadlines
If you're on Magento, the clock is running.
- Magento 2.4.6: regular support ended on 11 August 2026. Extended support runs to 31 August 2027.
- Magento 2.4.7: regular support ends on 31 May 2027, with extended support to 31 May 2028.

Routes
Magento to Shopify and WooCommerce to Shopify migration.
Magento / Adobe Commerce → Shopify
For stores facing an upgrade they don't want to pay for. Usually lands on Shopify Plus when you run several stores, B2B or high volume, and on a standard plan when you don't.
WooCommerce → Shopify
For stores that want less upkeep: no plugin updates, hosting or security patching to run. If WooCommerce still suits your catalog, we'll say so and build there instead.
How it runs
Five steps, in this order.
Building the new store before the URL map exists is the most common reason migrations go wrong, so the map comes first.
URL inventory
Crawl the old store and pull every indexed URL from Search Console, so nothing that ranks is left out.
Redirect map
One 301 per old URL to its closest new page: products to products, categories to collections, never everything to the homepage.
Data and content
Products and SKUs reconciled, customers and order history imported, copy, metadata and structured data carried across intact.
Agentic-ready launch
Product data and schema checked so the new store is eligible for Shopify Catalog and AI shopping channels from day one.
Launch monitoring
Daily crawl, redirect and ranking checks for two weeks after go-live, so a broken redirect is caught in days, not months.
What's included
Part of every Growth and Plus build.
- 301 redirect mapping for every indexed URL
- SKU reconciliation, and customer and order history import
- Structured data checked for parity before and after launch
- Included in the Shopify Growth and Shopify Plus build tiers; it adds about 1–2 weeks
- Agentic Commerce Setup (Growth) included in the Plus tier
See the build tiers on Shopify Build & Growth.
What we won't do
What we don't sell you.
- Redirecting old pages to the homepage. Every URL gets a real destination.
- A launch with no monitoring. The two weeks after go-live are when rankings move.
- Plus when you don't need it. Standard plans run Shopify Catalog and agentic storefronts too.
- A migration that ignores AI channels. The new store launches with its product data ready for them.

Migration to Shopify Without Losing Rankings or Data
Every migration checklist worries about rankings. Almost none checks whether the AI-readability work survives the move — this one covers both.

Agentic commerce didn't turn Plus into a gate. The upgrade decision is still about checkout, advanced B2B and scale — here is what actually changed, and what didn't.

The theme decision that actually matters isn't which one looks best in the demo store — it's which one hands agents a page they can read.

FAQ
Questions we get a lot.

Still unsure? Ask an operator, not an SDR.
Book a 20-minute callHow long does a Shopify migration take?
Migration is part of a Shopify build: Growth builds take 4–6 weeks and Shopify Plus builds 6–10 weeks, and migration adds about 1–2 weeks on top. Large catalogs take longer; we'll give you a dated plan after the scope call.
Will I lose my SEO rankings?
Rankings drop when old URLs break. We map every indexed URL to a 301 redirect, carry metadata and structured data across, and check crawl, redirects and rankings daily for two weeks after launch. Some movement in the first weeks is normal; lasting losses usually come from missed redirects, which is what the URL inventory prevents.
When does Magento 2.4.7 support end?
Adobe lists 31 May 2027 as the end of regular support for 2.4.7, with extended support to 31 May 2028. 2.4.6 regular support already ended on 11 August 2026. From 1 June 2027 Adobe says it will suspend traffic to Cloud environments running unsupported versions. Check Adobe's lifecycle page for your exact release.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
Not for the agentic features: Shopify Catalog and agentic storefronts run on standard plans. Plus is worth it if you do $500K+ a month, run several stores, or need B2B beyond the basics. We'll tell you if you don't need it yet.
What happens to customer accounts and passwords?
Customers and their order history come across. Passwords can't be carried across platforms, so customers sign in on Shopify with an emailed code or activate their account from an invite, which we schedule and word with you.
Can you migrate from other platforms?
This page covers Magento and WooCommerce. If you're on another platform, send us the URL and we'll tell you on the scope call whether we can move it cleanly.
