Agentic Commerce Readiness Checklist

27 checks across catalog, schema, rendering, discovery, agent behaviour, checkout and measurement — each with how to verify it yourself and what it costs you when it's missing.

CSV · 27 checks · 7 sections

Who it's for: Anyone who wants to run the audit themselves before paying anybody to run it.

No sales call, no drip sequence. We use your email to send the file and nothing else unless you tick the box.

What's in it

Exactly what you're getting.

  • 1Seven sections: catalog, schema, rendering, discovery, agent behaviour, checkout, measurement.
  • 2A how_to_verify column for every check — a concrete action, not "ensure best practice". Several are a single curl or a Rich Results Test.
  • 3Severity on each, so a Critical failure stops you optimising things that can't pay off until it's fixed.
  • 4The rendering section, which is where most stores actually fail: if price and copy aren't in the server-rendered HTML, crawlers that don't run JavaScript read a blank page.
  • 5Two agent-behaviour checks worth more than they look: does it escalate instead of guessing, and does it know your shipping and returns terms.
  • 6Status, owner and notes columns so it works as a live worksheet rather than a read-once list.

How to use it

The order that actually works.

Most of these templates fail the same way — filled in completely, applied to nothing. This is the sequence we'd follow.

  1. 1Work top to bottom and mark pass, fail or n/a. Don't skip the verification step — assuming a check passes is how these audits go wrong.
  2. 2Fix every Critical before touching anything else. A Critical failure caps the value of every other row on the sheet.
  3. 3Assign an owner per row. Most of these fail because nobody owned them, not because they were hard.
  4. 4Re-run quarterly. Platform changes and theme updates silently reintroduce failures, especially in the rendering section.
